6th Annual Walk of Ages

The Auxiliary for Jewish Home & Aging Services is proud to announce that the Sixth Annual Walk of Ages will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 10:00 am, on the Eugene & Marcia Applebaum Jewish Community Campus, Maple/Drake in West Bloomfield.

Dick Purtan, host of Dick Purtan and Purtan’s People Morning Show on Oldies 104.3 WOMC-FM will be our Grand Marshal.  Bring the family to meet and have their picture taken with “Dora the Explorer” and “Sponge Bob Square Pants”.  There will be games galore and food available for purchase at our ever popular household goods Tent Sale.  Proceeds will benefit our older Jewish adults residing at Fleischman Residence/Blumberg Plaza, Danto Family Health Care Center, Medilodge of Southfield, and those we serve in the Detroit metropolitan community. 

This year, we will be joined by Frankel Jewish Academy, Akiva Hebrew Day School, ATID and Hillel Day School, who will walk for older adults who cannot walk for themselves.  If you are interested in participating in the Walk, either as an individual or as a Team Member, please, contact Randi Simko at
